What is a Privacy Screen?
The NSW Department of Planning and Environment define privacy screens as a structure that provides a visual barrier between a window of an outdoor area (or a habitable room) and an adjoining lot.
A couple of requirements are:
- no individual opening of more than 30mm wide
- total area of all openings that is no more than 30% of the surface area of the screen or barrier
